The Beilun District held Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Meeting

December 29, 2011 The Beilun District (Development Zone) held Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Meeting at Qijiashan Hotel in Xiaogang Town. The meeting was hosted by Vice Chairman Mr. Haishan Sun from the District’s Economic Development Bureau. Representatives from the District’s Management Committee, Economic Development Bureau and other related departments attended the meeting. Representatives from the top 30 Foreign Trade Companies of the Development Zone were also present, including Union Source and Market Union.
The meeting started with a statement by Economic Development Bureau’s Chief Director Mr. Liming Wang, about Beilun District’s foreign trade development and the achievement of its transformation and upgrading. Following that, the Vice Director Mr. Haishan Sun stated about the work of the China Council of the Promotion of International Trade of Ningbo Development Zone. Then the meeting elected the Chief Director, Vice Director, Chief Secretary, and Executive member of the Council.
The holding of the meeting has brought the functions of the Council into full play, and has promoted the progress of transformation and upgrading of Ningbo’s foreign trade industry. It will eventually improve the competitive ability of Beilun District and make the transformation much steadier.
