Annual Strategic Seminar 2018 - Sellers Union Group

The August 18th and 19th is a special weekend for Sellers Union Group this year as the annual strategic seminar 2018 has been hold during this period. The sky was high, the clouds were pale on this weekend. Over 70 business partners came together and started brainstorming ideas for decoding development programme.

 

 

In the afternoon of 18th, participants started a discussion about the new enterprise mission, vision and core values firstly. They discussed that how to keep pace with the times facing the new development situation. On the basis of inductive precipitation original excellent enterprise spirit, how to upgrade new mission, vision and core values under the new era background is also a main point. Besides that, clarifying the ideological basis of corporate culture is a hot topic. The above issues are of great significance to promote more steady and sustainable development of enterprises in the future.

 

 

Since 1 month before the seminar, group has organized mobilization meeting times. That’s the main reason that participants came prepared. After the scene of the collision of ideas, a lot of new ideas have been put forward. The meeting not only inherits the enterprise mission, vision and values of different stages, but also reflects the new needs of corporate culture values in the new situation and environment.

 

 

Strategy multiplying by organizing ability make business success. After setting the strategy, organizing ability has become a critical point for enterprise competition. When discussed the enterprise organizing capacity building, participants were divided into groups. Each group took one subsidiary corporation as the object of study. All group members put heads together based on the business model, competitive situation, talent status or other relevant factors. They also focused on several key organizational capabilities, such as new customer development, key customer service, product development and innovation. Feasible schemes to strengthen key organizational capacity have been proposed from employee ability, employee mindset and employee governance.

 

 

CEO Patrick Xu declared that it’s a decision-making way of pooling wisdom and forming consensus that our group holds an annual strategic seminar to conduct collective research on major issues of enterprise development. It’s also conducive to forming common value orientation and strategic consensus. In the new situation, it’s the main purpose of this strategic seminar to propose corporate mission vision values which are not only closely related to the main business and more identifiable, but also easy to disseminate and conducive to internalization. Moreover learning the theoretical framework and methods of enterprise organizing ability building is also the one of the most important purposes at the seminar.

Patrick Xu shared his latest thoughts on corporate mission, vision, and core values, and explained in detail how to build entrepreneurial leadership and intelligent organization.

 

 

On the morning of the 19th, the meeting invited part of the outstanding performance in latest half-year of the subsidiaries and business heads for the sharing of experience. Vinson Qian, general manager of Union Chance, general manager of Union Deal  Tony Wang and general manager of Port to Port Logistics, Shiqing Wang shared the logic of performance growth and management sentiment in the first half of the year.

Shengke Xu, the sales director of second market department in Union Chance, the vice sales director of Russian market department in Union Source, Yi Zhang, vice director of toy development department in Union Vision, Yanke Chen and manager of Union Chance EE group  etc., introduced concrete practices in business orientation, customer development, supply management, team building and so on, which brings a lot of enlightenment to the participants.

 

 

Patrick Xu summarized the performance of whole group's operating units this year and analyzed the new situation of international trade.He pointed out that although the group's performance in the first seven months of this year was growing rapidly and the depreciation of the RMB was relatively conducive to exports, there were frequent trade frictions and the dynamic of international trade was weakened. The risk management challenge increases and so on situation, which still causes the enterprise development to face many uncertainties.

 

 

We should concentrate more on supply chain services, adhere to sound management, focus more on operational effectiveness. To strengthen market analysis, pay close attention to customer demand, continue to dig deep growth potential; All partners must maintain an entrepreneurial attitude, be diligent and dedicated, and act on their own, at the same time pay attention to the development and growth of grassroots colleagues, pay attention to the construction of echelon, set a platform for development, and consolidate the talent base for enterprise development.Operational support departments should also further enhance service awareness, market awareness and cost awareness.

The whole group should give full play to the concept of cooperation and sharing, strengthening internal competition competition and exchange, actively learning from advanced departments and individuals, and constantly promoting performance improvement, jointly creating a highly flexible, self-renewal, metabolism of supply chain services ecological enterprise groups.
